Yes we have begun to plan our honeymoon. From the second we were engaged my mind started spilling with my top "go to" destinations like Croatia, Australia and Hawaii. However after some consideration we have decided to stay within the US given time and budget constraints. Now most of you know that I am not a camper but when I came across The Resort at Paws Up in Montana I could not help but fall in love with the idea of Glamping. Beautiful sights, fire and fondue for two, couples massage and these beautiful luxury tents! But at $5,000+ for a 5-night package I think this one will have to wait.More realistic honeymoon ideas for a 6-day trip include: Napa/San Fransisco, Key West and Costa Rica. However, we are questioning the later two as we will be there during their hurricane seasons. Any ideas for a laid back honeymoon with a warm climate, leisure activities and good food/drinks in September?

Oooh!! :) It will be just as fun staying local for the honeymoon, for sure - you can save those big trips for anniversaries and future adventures as a married couple!! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Costa Rica or Key West (which I imagine would be awesome places for a honeymoon!), but I've been to Napa many times and absolutely love it! Great wine (obviously), great food, hot air balloon rides, and it's right by San Francisco, a city with soooo much to do (museums, shows, bike riding, and more delicious foods!)
Keep us all posted with your plans!! :)
I have had two friends do Napa / Wine Country for their honeymoons and LOVED it! And you can get decent deals on cute Villas :)
ReplyDeleteWe are leaning heavily towards Hawaii, starting to save for that one now, haha.
Have a great time in AZ!!!

I've always wanted to camp in a glamour tent. If you have to stay in the U.S., I'd do a mini tour of the california coast and stay in bed and breakfasts. Maybe end in Napa for some wine tasting?
ReplyDeleteI love the luxurious tent images! Perfect for a honeymoon getaway. Napa is beautiful too! SO many possibilities ...=)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what the weather is like in September, but we did Napa Valley and San Fran for our honeymoon and LOVED it. I love where we stayed, and where we ate and drank. It was the perfect combination of running around and relaxation! I am happy to share more details if you'd like - just send me an email (perfectcompilationtape@gmail.com)!
ReplyDeleteIt would be so much fun to vacation at this resort. Have fun planning your honeymoon. We honeymooned in St. Lucia and it was fabulous. -Cristi
