Site of the Week: Mrs. O

Yes, I should be choosing more educational or perhaps editorial websites to feature, but come on shouldn't every American know what style the First Lady is sporting? Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to turn this into a political debate but Michelle has way better style than Laura Bush ever did. Mrs O chooses pieces that are tailored and timeless (and sometimes even affordable)! Like this Merona dress from Target. Check out more of the First Lady's style at Mrs-O.org.

Missoni Tableware!

I've been posting a lot of jewelery and dishware lately. I'm not really sure why? Maybe because I feel like a bowl here, a necklace there is a easy and cheap way to incorporate something "new" into your everyday. But, the new collection by Missoni Home is unfortunately going to have to go on my wish list. The textile designer famous for it's bold, graphic prints has brought it's designs to tableware (I love how the patterns match)! Check out the full collection here.

"A Wrong Decision is Better Than Indecision"

"The New Decider" watch is a Special Edition by Mr Jones Wathces. The New Decider helps you make decisions: as the seconds tick round the words “yes” and “no” are alternately displayed. How cool is that? I have the perfect person in mind for this watch. Check out more Mr Jones Watches here.

Sale of the Week: Peony Porcelain Bowl

by Target (set of 4 for $13.98). Although this bowl is meant for the kitchen, I think it would look great in a bedroom or bathroom.

Site of the Week: A Nutritionist Eats

I love this blog -- and I'm not just plugging it because Emily is one of my good friends. It's a go-to site for everything and anything food related. Emily shares healthy and interesting recipes that give anyone in a food slump a little inspiration (like this one for Mediterranean Rice Salad). I love how she brings the reader into her "food" life, weather it's an exploration in baking or the latest organic product Emily shares her excitement, frustration and joy of food! A Nutritionist Eats is a daily read!!

Knox Jewelers

The ring! My wonderful boyfriend of 5 years asked me to marry him this weekend and i said YES!! We had stopped at Pracna, along St Anthony Main, before heading to dinner at 2021 (located in the Walker Art Center) we killed some time by taking a walk on the Stone Arch Bridge. Andy nervously got down on one knee, presented me with this beautiful ring and popped the question.

The ring is the work of family-owned Knox Jewelers located in Minneapolis. They specialize in custom designs and unique engagement rings. Check out more of their great jewelery here.

Dog + Kitty = Funny

I am currently in Minneapolis visiting friends, enjoying a long weekend and hanging with some very cool animals (Alfie, Stoli and Bentley). I just love the dog's reaction in this photo. Click here to check out more adorable animal pics via Morning Light Lamb's photo stream on Flickr. Happy Weekend!

Site of the Week: Mad Men Yourself

My perfect afternoon...me hanging out with Betty Draper! This site is too cool and with the premiere of Mad Men's 3rd season this Sunday night I thought it was only fitting to feature it as "Site of the Week." So enjoy, it's a great way to spend 5 minutes of your day. (thanks Molly)

A Guinness a Day..

A study conducted by the University of Wisconsin found that a pint of Guinness could have the same heart health benefits as a low dose of aspirin. When tested on dogs, the University found that the antioxidants in Guinness helped reduce blood clots and lowered cholesterol. The narrow blood vessels in dogs are similar to those of humans who suffer from heart disease. This is great news for me...I love Guinness! Next time I'm out for a beer I will definitely chose this over a more precessed "light" beer.

The Sak(s) + One

I am in dire need of a new purse. Ideally it would be one that could carrying me through the rest of Summer and into Fall. I had originally hoped to keep my budget at $150 or less, however the Silverlake bags by The Sak are very tempting.

Ashbury Leather Shopper $107.40 @ The Sak, Silverlake Drawstring $199.00 @ The Sak, Silverlake Leather Flap $199.00 @ The Sak, Sunken Fortune Tote $159.95 @ Anthropologie
