GOOP - Do - March 26th

video

This week's GOOP newsletter from Gwenyth Paltrow just dropped into my inbox!! I know the media questions if she even writes this newsletter...but I don't care it features healthy, good-for-the-soul ideas for healthy eating and living. Anyway, this week's newsletter features another workout from her fabulous trainer Tracy Anderson (also trains Madonna). Anderson shares a 7 min. cardio dance routine that can also be purchased on her website. I am a huge fan of her butt/thigh workout and can't wait to try out the dance aerobics! If you'd like to download the dance aerobics click here, for the butt/thigh work out click here.

Enjoy your workout!

Easter Decor

I came across these adorable and simple Easter decorations from Pottery Barn. A perfect way to make your home more festive for the holiday. I think one of the baskets filled with muffins or flowers would be a perfect hostess gift for Easter brunch!

"Food Inc."

The most emailed article today at NYT, "Is a Food Revolution Now in Seasons?" (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/22/business/22food.html?em) mentions the growing attention being placed on organic food and agribusiness by consumer, celebrities and government. The article mentions a new documentary, Food Inc. created by filmmaker Robert Kenner that exposes the truth behind our nation's food supply and the regulatory agencies that govern it. Premiering at the Toronto Film Festival this past September, the documentary features interviews with Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma). With the rate of obesity and diabetes growing in the U.S. it is increasingly important for consumers to think about what we are putting into our bodies. After all...you are what you eat!

Check out the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqQVll-MP3I
Although I've been thinking about starting a garden for the past year, the trailer makes me want to start digging now. I'm guessing I will want to start my own organic farm once I see the film!
